FROM PAGE TO STAGE

These can be hour long workshops to achieve scenes. The session can run for a whole day or several days in order to create a short play.  Up to 35 pupils per session.

Option 1: Theme based devising

If you are studying a particular theme in class, we can work with the young people to create scenes or a piece of theatre to explore the topic and share their knowledge.

Pupils will have the opportunity to:

• Use games and improvisation to create scenes from their story with the option of writing scripts

• Rehearse and perform their work collaboratively

Option 2: Text based devising

Give us advanced notice of the text you are studying and we can take extracts from the text and bring them to life in performance.

  Pupils will have the opportunity to:

• Hear dramatic readings of extracts from the story

• Learn more about the process of creating theatre and roles on and off stage

• See written examples of prose turned into scripts

• Use games and improvisation to create scenes from their story with the option of writing scripts

• Rehearse and perform their work
